Summer Scholarships
Scholarships are available for students to undertake a six (6) week laboratory-based research project during the 2021-2022 summer vacation period.
The 2021/22 scholarship application period has closed, keep an eye out for 2022/23 opportunities.
Projects can be located at the Melbourne, Bendigo, or Albury-Wodonga campus, or at the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute (ONJCRI) in Heidelberg.

Before applying, students must approach potential supervisors to confirm that the supervisor is willing and able to provide a research project for the student in their laboratory.
- Amount: Up to a maximum of $1,800 ($300 per week tax-free)
- Starting Date: By negotiation with the supervisor
- Eligibility: Second or third year undergraduate students or honours students who are taking subjects in the disciplines associated with LIMS – Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Chemistry, Genetics, Pharmacy, and Physics
- Selection: Based on eligibility, merit, and statement of benefit
